Time for an Update...
What can I tell you?
1st - I am VP of Finance for next Year! which most of you knew that already! hence the reason I'm so busy!
2nd - How about I share with you some lyrics that we sang in my class today that touched my heart!
I am taking a Music & Worship Class, which is about music within the church throughout time and places and such. I have enjoyed it, but tonight we sang a lot of hymns- Which I like Hymns, so I will share this one with you.
Take, O Take Me As I Am - music & words by John L Bell
Take, O take me as I am. Summon out what I shall
be; set your seal upon my heart and live in me.
The Summons - words & arrangement by The Iona Community 1987
Will you come and follow me If I but call your name?
Will you go where you don't know And never be the same?
Will you let my love be shown, Will you let my name be known,
Will you let my life be grown In you and you in me?
Will you leave yourself behind If I but call your name?
Will you care for cruel and kind And never be the same?
Will you risk the hostile stare, Should your life attract or scare?
Will you let me answers pray'r In you and you in me?
Will you let the blinded see If I but call your name?
Will you set the pris'ners free And never be the same?
Will you kiss the leper clean, And do such as this unseen,
And admit to what I mean In you and you in me?
Will you love the 'you' you hide If I but call your name?
Will you quell the fear inside And never be the same?
Will you use the faith you've found To reshape the world around,
Through my sight and touch and sound In you and you in me?
Lord, your summons echoes true When you but call my name.
Let me turn and follow you And never be the same.
In your company I'll go Where your love and footsteps show.
Thus I'll move and live and grow In you and you in me.

Running For VP of Finance...
Campaigning starts this week and after a late start on creating posters they are printed and in the process of being displayed all over campus. I must give a thank you shout out to the amazing Bernard Nguyen (www.bnphotography.net) for photos and Rachel Austen for Graphic Design work.
I still really don't like the idea about campaigning myself and talking about my strengths and why I should be the person for this job. I believe I would do an amazing job and I believe I posses the strength and skills needed to take on this position and be successful. Something about me feels that campaigns always come down to popularity contests and not about who is really right for the job. Hopefully I can come out of my shell enough to be more talkative and less humble and go campaign the best way I know how.
I have come to realize how amazing friends are through this experience so far. New friends from this year and past friends have helped me with my feelings and anxieties about running for this position and I appreciate them a lot.
I must get back now to my crazy hectic life currently and hopefully I can update you as the progress goes on.
If you are a SPU student reading this... don't forget to VOTE Thursday April 3rd & 10th online through Banner. Thanks!

Reflection...
Whatever your cross,
Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall;
But God's always ready, to answer your call....
He knows every heartache, sees every tear,
a word from His lips, can calm every fear...
Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish, by dawn's early light...
The Savior is waiting, somewhere above,
to give you His grace, and send you His love.

I was his baby anna, or annababe as I got older.
He always hid my cup and I would find it when I came over.
Twix bars will always remind me of him, because those were his favorite and there were always so many in the pantry.
Everything was 'grandpa size' pieces of things, grandma's apple pie, and spicy banana bars for sure.
He always wanted me to give him a manicure because his nails and hands were so rough.
He rescued me from certain pain from my older cousins and brother when we were younger
He loved all of us and showed us his love through what he did and how he treated us.
He stayed strong till the end and always looked out for others instead of himself.
He loved Jesus and was ready to meet him, which he did on Thursday 1-10-08
Cancer may have battled through him but he battled back with all he had and ultimately I think he won that battle because the cancer is dead and he is in heaven enjoying everlasting life with Christ.
I love you Gramps and although you will be missed by everyone, none of us would would ask you to come back, we know you are in a better place with a healthy pain-free body.

Song that touched me today!
GOD IN MY LIVING
There in my breathing
God in my waking
God in my sleeping
God in my resting
There in my working
God in my thinking
God in my speaking
Be my everything
Be my everything
Be my everything
Be my everything
God in my hoping
There in my dreaming
God in my watching
God in my waiting
God in my laughing
There in my weeping
God in my hurting
God in my healing
